Grand Rapids, MI (Sept. 30, 2024) — The Michigan Center for Adult College Success today announced that it is accepting proposals from qualified technical assistance providers to support the upcoming MI-LEARN Design Lab run by The Michigan Center for Adult College Success.
The MI-LEARN Design Lab aims to enhance adult learner success in Michigan postsecondary institutions by providing technical assistance to develop adult student success dashboards and redesign curricular systems. This initiative builds on the success of the MI-RAISE Design Lab and aligns with the goals of the Michigan Center for Adult College Success (The Center).
Interested parties are welcome to submit proposals for one or more of four RFPs posted to The Center’s website:
- Project Management: Assist The Center in operating the design lab by organizing the project, handling logistics for both virtual and in-person convenings, and providing technical assistance in the direction and execution of the program. Demonstrated experience in doing this type of work will be critical.
- Technical Assistance & Coaching: Provide technical assistance and coaching to the institutions participating in the design lab. The firm should demonstrate a successful history in providing these services to community colleges and universities.
- Competency-Based Education: Expertise on competency-based education (C-BE) is required. The winning firm will be asked to host workshops on C-BE, provide coaching and advisory support, and be available for on-site support with the institutions.
- Credit for Prior Learning: Expertise on credit for prior learning (CPL) is required. Conducting institutional assessments, hosting facilitated planning sessions, and assistance on developing CPL policy implementation plans are the key deliverables for this RFP.
Proposals will be evaluated based on understanding of The Center’s mission and objectives, experience and qualifications, quality and creativity of proposed approach, demonstrated success in similar projects, and cost-effectiveness of the proposal.
