Grand Rapids, MI (June 5, 2025) The Michigan Center for Adult College Success (The Center) today announced that it is accepting proposals from qualified firms for two RFP’s to provide technical assistance and coaching support for colleges and universities to increase the success of adults postsecondary education.

The Center’s goal is to increase the number of adult Michiganders obtaining postsecondary credentials, to close equity gaps and advance the state’s broader Sixty by 30 postsecondary attainment goal. As part of this work, The Center is looking for qualified firms to provide coaching and technical assistance support for Innovation Investment Award and other Student Success grant recipients to accelerate their work implementing the grant plan. The Center is also looking for a qualified firm(s) to provide similar technical assistance and coaching for Michigan colleges and universities to develop and implement system change proposals to better serve adult learners.

The vendor chosen will have the following roles beginning in late summer 2025:

  • IIA & Student Success Grant Technical Assistance & Coaching: Provide technical assistance and coaching to the institutions who received an Innovation Investment Award or Student Success grant to help accelerate and effectively implement the grant funded program. The firm should demonstrate a successful history in providing these services to community colleges and universities.
  • System Change Technical Assistance & Coaching: Provide technical assistance and coaching to the Michigan community colleges and universities upon request/demand. The firm should demonstrate a successful history in providing these services to community colleges and universities.

Proposals will be evaluated based on understanding of The Center’s mission and objectives, the Michigan landscape, experience and qualifications, quality and creativity of proposed approach, demonstrated success in similar projects, and cost-effectiveness of the proposal. More detailed explanation of the evaluation criteria is available in the RFP document.

The deadline to submit proposals is July 8, 2025. See the full list of request for proposals at The Center’s website, mcacs.talentfirst.net/news/
